Sheet Vinyl

Domestic & Commercial Sheet Vinyl Flooring

Sheet vinyl products are simple to lay with standard preparation, by means of either plywood or screed to the existing floor to ensure a smooth finish.

They are a cheaper alternative to other products such as wood, LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile), or laminate floors.

These are highly recommended for bathrooms and kitchens where there is water spillage.

DOMESTIC SHEET VINYL

Domestic Sheet Vinyl is available in many different styles, such as wood, stone/ceramic and plain colour options. They are generally the easiest of all the resilient flooring products to install but are still subject to the sub-floors being prepared to British Standard criteria. Most sheet vinyl floors can now be safely loose laid or perimeter stuck, which means the newly prepared sub-floors can be re-used.

This is particularly useful in rental properties, as it can reduce installation costs in the event an existing sheet vinyl flooring has to be replaced due to damage.

CONTACT/COMMERCIAL SHEET VINYL

Products are generally fitted in Schools, Hospitals, commercial Kitchens and many other public areas.

Functionality is key with these products, so in comparison to domestic vinyl ranges, colours and designs are fairly limited, therefore mottled or plain colours is as exciting as it gets.

They do however come in a choice of many different surface features, such as standard smooth for mainly dry areas, to various embossed and non-slip safety floor options, for wet areas.

As with all resilient floor coverings, preparation of the sub-floors to British Standards is required, prior to fully sticking the new vinyl flooring. Due to the increased weight and stiffness of contract quality sheet vinyl, installations costs are usually more expensive, as fitting time is usually longer and more involved. Welding of the product is often required in larger areas, as most contract sheet vinyl is only available in 2.00m widths.
